GIPSY GIRL

  

I find gipsy style really interesting and I would never thought I would love to wear it myself. This summer I am enjoying experimenting with boho which for me is really a mixture of both gipsy and hippy. This is my favourite outfit.  Beautiful top which is a type of lace with beautiful patterns by Patsy Seddon for Phase Eight. It is a see-through blouse very delicate in texture. I put green t-shirt underneath to give it a nice background. I combined with it the New Look long skirt that you could see in my previous stylisations. The colour of the skirt is a type of brown - beaver. I used a lot of accessories  hair band and different kinds of bracelets  and my favourite are the flamenco earing that I have got in Spain in a village market which are made out of wood. Sandals from Deichmann are very comfortable and very original in their design.

Boho-chic

  

Boho-chic is a style of fashion drawing on various bohemian and hippie influences. This gypsy girl stylization is a combination of long skirt from NEW LOOK with a handmade top that has ethnic motifs. Top is long sleeve lace cardigan that matches well with the black motifs on the top. As accessories I used flamenco earrings and pearl bracelets and ring. The element that I added to this stylisation is a jacket from BERSHKA. I kept here colour coordination which keeps all well. EXPERIMENT girls this style is for anyone without AGE restrictions!!! HAPPY HIPPY

Happy Hippy this summer we can go with the flow we can create our own happy hippy style. My proposition is white jeans with ethnic pattern designed by me and beautiful vest with ethnic motifs on it as well which matches perfectly with jeans. It is never too much of jewellery for being true hippy. A variation of bracelets and necklaces with turquoise and round large earrings that coordinate together. I used headbands to make my hair look more stylish. HAPPY HIPPIE

Hi Girls Hippie trend has not been the first time in fashion industry as you all know. Designers found themselves taking suggestions from the young people on how to design clothing. Trends continued to come and go, but finding own styles and identities, as the women in the 1960's have, would never let it go and will pass it from generation to generation.

On a typical basis, hippies would buy clothing from the flea markets and then design them by themselves. These clothes included jeans, peasant blouses, dashiki's bell- bottom pants, and vests. Most of these items were worn by both males and females. Hippie women rarely used any makeup. The way that they created these clothes were inspired by the African, Latin, and Native American designs. Fashion is the 1960's mainly encouraged exhibitionism and wore free- spirited clothing, women wore miniskirts, bold colors, and see through dresses showing off the bodies of women, and rarely men's bodies as well.

Accessories that they wore were gaudy, such as perspex rings and earrings and fold chain belts. Bottom hipsters were the big thing in the hippie era. Hipsters were unisex trousers that rested on the hip rather than the waist, where most people wear pants normally. Popular patterns included psychedelic designs, which were spirals, stripes (including the bell bottom pants), crazy patterns and colors, and abstract art were all incorporated in hippie clothing. Op art, or illusion designs, were also found on the clothing that hippies wore. Two of the most popular patterns in hippie clothing wear tye die and floral.

How special they are to us we all know!!! They gave us the gift of life with help of Dads of course.

Let's called it CINDERELLA transformation. Quick sum up my Mum EWA, 50 years old recently has jump from her size 12 to 16 UK and it was difficult for her to feel good and pretty in her new shape. She was choosing clothes that did not suit her and for sure were not helping with her image.  So me Fairy- her daughter came to action and make her to visit me in LONDON to do super stylisation. It was her first time in airplane and first time abroad. Better late than never:-)



    Here is my mum before transformation and after.

 

 

 

We went for shopping to London, her fist time in capital of England and guess what we have chosen H&M to start with her new stylisation. My favourite pick for her was This coat combination of leather and fabric very stylish per of blag leggings and boots on the wedge heel. I have added reddish patterned scarf to break it nicely

I have encouraged her to wear colourful tops. This flowery colourful  top give her nice shape, is not too tight so she feels comfortable with her body and is really feminine. I like the white collar it give it a elegant look. I added up black leggings and long boots that make her tall. It was perfect match for her. All H&M

 I have chosen for her something special a silvery black evening dress full of different beads that have been sewn hand made. The designer dress which is in one part but it looks as if it was two-piece.

I would like to thank my friend Ania Smigielska for doing an amazing hair style for mum for helping me with shooting  the picks at her place.

MY SCOTISH KILT

I have never been to Scotland but it is on my list of places that I want to visit. Cross fingers!!! Maybe this years I will go there for Highland Games.

Tartan is a pattern consisting of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colours. Tartans originated in woven wool, but now they are made in many other materials. Tartan is particularly associated with Scotland. Scottish kilts almost always have tartan patterns.

Until the middle of the nineteenth century, the highland tartans were only associated with either regions or districts, rather than any specific Scottish clan. This was because like other materials, tartan designs were produced by local weavers for local tastes and would usually only use the natural dyes available in that area, as chemical dye production was non-existent and transportation of other dye materials across long distances was prohibitively expensive.

I find my perfect Scottish kilt with great tartan. When I saw it I just could not resisit :-) What I can say about this stylisation is that I truly love it. I think is elegant and stylish and could be wear for different occasions. Kilt is from Next and Alex & Co jacket gives it a nice match.

Top is long cotton sleeve and on topof it I put T-shirt that imitates leather I bought in Missselfridge. All this look great with collar that I wear  made out of black beads. I decorated it with perles so it has a bit od my personal touch. Earrings are from Spain - flamenco like. Boots from Deichmann.
